<div class="IPBDescription">..and some suggestions for the interface</div><img src="http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/6106/snaping.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

1. I have encountered several problems with snapping. The first one being the problem shown above. I can not get it to snap to the grid, it always snaps to the center of the line.
2. Why does it display a different grid depending on what tool I use? If I am using the select tool, the grid does not match the one used in the other tools.
3. Is there a way to control in what direction in the perspective view my plane is going to be drawn? As shown on the screenshot below:

<u>I would like to suggest the following interface additions:</u>

1. A set of different options for snapping, which can be switched on or off, like snapping to edges, vertices, middle points, grid.
2. A way to lock snapping and movement along one axis only, with a pressed hotkey, which would enable the mapper to draw new planes along the axis of choice in the perspective view.

I think these additions would speed up the workflow of creating basic map geometry a lot.
Also I do not want to come across as nagging or negative, working with the editor is fun and very relaxing. Just the snapping control seems to be a bit awkward compared to all other parts of spark which are great.

Also the model preview in the spark model browser is a bit awkward, some models are not lit very much and only the silhouette is visible, perhaps taking the thumbnail screenshots with a much brighter light would make them easier to see.
