Lighting shows hard edges
<div class="IPBDescription">I'm doing it wrong, but with pics</div><a href="http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/3499/ns2isbrokenhideyokids.jpg" target="_blank">http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/3499/ns...nhideyokids.jpg</a>
I'm trying to build the curved wall to fit into the arch prop. It's tricky because it's also slanted upwards. The only way I found to make this work is with old fashion faces.
The problem is, the lighting gets crude, and I cannot align the textures without the "treat as one" so I'm thinking I need a whole new approach.
Anyone got any ideas?

I would try with props first like this:

Build the whole hallway on a strait axis then select it all,Un-tick Rotation snap box (lower right in editor) and rotate it to the desired slope you want then mend each end with faces or props.
Hint: scaling can help adjust the curve depth but mind the collisions on the model you choose.
