Always connection timeout, can't play

I've had this problem on occasion a while back but now I can't play at all on any server because when I join I seem to lose connection to the server after just a few seconds and often I don't even have time to join a team and even if I do, I will get timeout after the timeout time. Anyone else experience this? How to solve it?

I verified the game files and they were ok. I opened the router and disabled all firewalls etc but it still happened every time.

Help would be very much appreciated!

    Sounds like a network related issue. Didn't some people report similar problems a while ago, that only got fixed when they used a different router?

    Well I had these a very few times before but not all the time, then I never got it anymore for a long while and now I can't even play, despite opening all ports and shutting down everything. So I guess it should be able to work and I can't use any other router anyways.
