Getting sick...

For some strange reason the screen bobbing from marine sprint is giving me the biggest headaches. Can we get an option to turn that off?

Edit: Minecraft also had this problem way back in the day where your screen would bob from just moving, then Notch added in an option to turn it off which solved everything.

Just curious, does the skulk's wallwalk tilting give you any problems? Personally that one is what makes me feel a little motion sick from time to time. While I like it, the option to turn some of these things off could be nice.

Nope, just the marine sprinting. Skulk/fade/lerk stuff are totally fine.

if they do put it in a check box for it, everyone's gonna turn it off for easier visual targeting of things you may miss if the bobblehead were on. i don't see them giving the option.

there is already a hidden option forthe skull wallwalking, so there is a good chance that the running one will get one too.

this could be an issue with the fov, if stuff like the skulk wallwalking has no effect. I think it changes and becomes narrower when you sprint, and low fovs (such as those in borderlands) can make me feel physically ill.

Don't know about that. Removing headbob is a pretty common option in FPSes.

And after all, UWE already game us an option to remove bloom, and the same argument could be made for that feature.

yeah i believe thats called motion sickness. I get it too i just look to the side of my monitor when i do it.
I get it really bad from most fps games such as half life 2, left for dead. Something about the screen being zoomed in much more than normal unlike counter strike and natural selection 1.
And yeah supernorn is right its field of view issues

I get Motion SIckness too, but it is related to FoV. Fallout 3 on consoles gave me headaces because of the small FoV (~70). PC version was fine (~90)
Right now I had no problems with NS2. But I still have to check 178.

    *edit*
Arghs. Getting motion sick too after a while. But it doesn't seem to be related solely to sprinting. Also reloading etc.
Whatever you did UW, please include an option to disable it. (Only played Marine so far. So it has to be related to the head bob I think)

I feel sick when attacking power nodes as skulk, it chews, making the screen flash and then the actual power node flashes, it's horrible. :/

does this hidden option allow for full screen tilt while on walls and ceilings or does it just remove the slight tilt while wall walking?

i really think full screen tilt should be a toggleable option.
