<div class="IPBDescription">Declared MIA</div>So NASA has <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2011/05/24/science/AP-US-SCI-Mars-Rovers.html" target="_blank">declared Spirit MIA</a> and has ceased attempts to contact the rover. A sad day for a triumph of modern NASA, but her longevity will stand as a testament to the engineers who put her together.

RIP Spirit. May your contributions to science be remembered, and and may you one day end up in pride of place in the martian history museum, on Mars.
