Aliens get a combat hive. Turns their hive detaches from the tech point and turns into a controllable, living weapon, that has insane health, sprays infestation everywhere and does massive damage. Kind of like in Savage with the huge hulking tree beasts.
The only problem with this battle hive or my hive queen idea is, it isnt allowed to be much bigger than an onos (mapping guidelines, wont fit trough corridors)
So even if it sounds cool, i guess we ll see something else.
how about this nuke disables tech point for both teams for said amount of hours and eradiats room meaning everything takes damage no infestation will grow and damage to buildings is faster than repair rate but life forms can survive for a decent amount of time atleast enough to go thru the room
My idea for the alien game-ender would be something like all 3 hives need a special upgrade and then activated. They'd start working together to pump up ALL the DI in the map. Make the DI grow at a 10X rate without need of manually spreading it, and also have it come "alive" around any marines. Basically it would be like having whips everywhere that there's DI. You would take over the entire map in a matter of 5 minutes if the marines don't manage to kill a hive.

Erm... Ok...
Anyway, back to the point of the nuke and all that.
I don't like the idea of an instant-end-game thing. Rushing just to get a nuke is as lame as rushing the IP right at the start of the game.
I would first like to see how they implement this nuke before I decide what side I am on.

Sure it can. You can make it a long, segmented wormy thing with the cross-sectional area of an onos.

If a nuke kills everyone and ens the game in a draw, no one will ever rush nuke.

But for now though:
