<div class="IPBDescription">wip</div>So i've been working on a map and its still pretty much simple geometry with minimum props. I've mostly worked on getting an interesting layout and I wanted to show you guys where I'm at so here is the minimap.

Wanted to show some "ingame screanshots" of that with that hive up and protected but I need to figure it out with steam.

I wanted to spam a bit more hydras and *&#^ but the cheats for plasma and carbon don't work no more.
Edit: Updated view of BRIDGE tp, Still needs some texture,props and proper lighting pass. I'm not sure about how i want to treat the window, not too fond of the washing out effect of current window model.

Also, near big red boxes, floor texture looks quite stretched. Can you chop floor more or use smaller scale on texture?

I think you should just go ahead and keep doing what feels right. I wouldn't worry about areas being too open much because the game is still beta and you never know what changes will be made. I've got elevators and ladders in my map : p
The first pic is my fav I really dig what you did there. I look forward to seeing your tram section I think I see from the overview. I think a lot of maps have a tram station of sorts so it'd be interesting to see how they all differ.

-As you can see things are shaping up. Still got a few more areas to touch up. I really like where this is going, thanks to all who have posted each have greatly contributed :D
All jokes aside, this is one hell of an interesting map. I really hope it plays well because the environment is incredible. I feel like I say this about too many maps coming out, but frankly there's just so much mapping talent around here that I wish you guys worked on some other games that could use the talent :P

Hahaha yeah this map is kinda a joke, :D It is called turtle because of the general shape of the layout and one of the goals in creating this map was to makes it impossible for you to turtle in your base!

The map is shaping up to look great! I actually prefer the lighting approach your using for this map. I would love to do a run through of the map with you, myself and Tempest from Inversion on one of our servers. Shoot me a PM if your interested so we can make this happen! Great work bro!
Release is sooner than I expect, after 6 months in real production, over two years of planning and testing, and 27 years of personal development things are really coming together in ways that amaze even me :p

-It is difficult to show what its all about in the screens because the areas are vast. Contrary to looks though it is very easy to get around :p
Why to make a beautiful map that play horribly?
That kind of map will be tried once or twice by a lot of people just to realize that you can't actually have a good game in the map and then forgotten forever.
I would seriously consider doing playtesting in very early during the map development.
Please let people to test the gameplay of the map. It will save you from a huge load of work and make the final result much much better.
Testing and iterative development is what makes good things perfect!
