Slowdown when crouching midair

<div class="IPBDescription">Feels a little weird, doesn't it?</div>Hello fellow humans,

Is it just me, or does it feel really weird when you jump and crouch as marine?

Currently, when you're in a jump and you press crouch, you loose a lot of your speed.

The same happens if you jump, turn 180 midair and press "back" - your speed is clamped to back-walk speed.

One more thing... maybe this is by design, but I cant jump higher by duck-jumping (like climbing boxes, rails and other props).

With that said, the movement has clearly improved a lot over the last few months - besides my few nit-picks, I think it feels pretty smooth :)

Anyone want to share their thoughts?

When crouch-jumping in NS2, your torso moves down rather than your legs moving up. It really needs fixed.

Also, marine speed has been nerfed in several patches to the point where it feels like your walking in mud when doing anything except sprinting. In fact, NS2 sprinting is about walking speed in most other fps games. Its very annoying.

I have also noticed how crouching is useless, its as its only use is for crouching on the ground (and when is that usefull? It needs fixing so that you can jump-crouch to get up on things.

About slowing down mid-air by reversing, you dont even have to rotat 180 degrees last time i tried. Simply holding the button clamps your max speed.
I think it should be re-made, so instead of clamping your max speed, it would give you a slight speed backwards.
