Commanders War

1 VS 1 or All VS 1. Would you be interested ?
Hi,
lately I've been having this idea in my mind that it could be interesting to restrict the number of players in one team and fill it with bots instead.
As I have no idea how it will turn out if implemented I wrote a small description of how I think it could be done.
It's just a start and I'm expecting your ideas and feedback to see if it is doable/could be fun to play.
Here are a few ideas what “NS2 : Commanders War†could be.

QUOTE

It is a MOD for NS2 in which at least one of the teams is using bots as “ground†soldiers while the commander is played by a human player. The global rules to decide the winner team are the one of NS2 Vanilla and will not be reset here.
This will lead to two possibilities:
Commanders War
There are only two players on the server, playing against each other like in a RTS game. For this game the players will have to rely on bots to execute their orders and will take care of choosing what kind of unit he wants to use. If they have the proper res and tech level they can spawn different types of units. It is yet to be decided if the aliens always spawn as Lerk and evolve of can be spawn in other lifeforms. As there is no weapon drop from the marine commander in NS2, the marine will have to spawn with their gear. So the commander will have to choose to spawn a flamer, shotgunner, flying marine, heavy…
The max number of units used by each side is the same and can be configured before the beginning of the game. The server will not allow spawning more bot players than this number.
Of course it is always possible for the commanders to leave the command station/hive but the bots would remain executing their last orders and will not take the initiative as a human player would.
Alone against the rest (Or better name if you have one)
In this game mode only one of the two teams is filled with bots + 1 human player and the other is entirely filled with human players. In my opinion this game mode makes more sense if the marines are played by humans. Therefore they will be facing the alien team which in that case really has a Hive mind in the person of the only human player. But in can be the other way round.
This mod relies on the difference between bots and human players.
Humans :
Pro: Every player think by himself leading to great anticipation and adaptability to a wide range of situations.
Con: None of them is forced to listen to the orders he’s been given by the commander. Not having the global picture in mind may lead the players to take bad choices in the heat of the moment.
Bots:
Pro: will always blindly obey to their commander even if it means dying several time. They don’t care about having fun while playing.
Con: If not given the proper orders, they will the most stupid soldiers a commander has ever had.

A hook maybe :
So because you think you rock at SC2, you think you can defeat a team of pro-players by yourself?
I’ve been fighting against the same player regularly, new let’s get in a private server and let’s see who’s the boss in 1VS1!
Always complaining that you soldiers won't obey you? Get rid of them !

Have you tried "cheats 1" then "addbot <number of bots>" (could be add_bot) then giving them some orders?
