The Commander Camera

Ok so I can group up things using ctrl + # keys. I've mostly done single player stuff so its usually macs that I have hot keyed. When I press the # corresponding to the hotkey my camera goes flying off randomly.

I can't really find any documentation on how the commanding is supposed to work or even what the goals with it are.

I certainly hope the standard functionality of press once it selects the mac or marine(s) which then allows you to issue commands at current camera location and press it 2x to jump to that unit / group.

My main question is if there is a thread somewhere that is a guide of sorts to how the Gui works / is supposed to work.

Have a look at NS2HD's commander mode video, but other vids on the game might also give you some pointers as to how the game should work :)

Currently, the camera interface is pretty basic. You can't zoom in or rotate the view, which gets pretty annoying at certain places on the maps. Also, you can issue commands to players (which will show up as blue triangles for them), but those commands won't show up for you.

I have that problem. Whenever I select a hotkey group (by pressing a number key) the commander camera goes all the way to the top left corner of the map. I then have to scroll back to where I was. Quite annoying.

This has probably been asked a million times already, but what are they going to do with the black void that you see when you look outside the boundaries of the map? I personally don't really mind it, but I think it won't look that attractive for someone looking at the game for the first time.

only thing I hate is that items drop into the ceiling, WAY WAY too often. expecially on tram.
