Blink shimmer effect?

<div class="IPBDescription">Between point A and B</div>I just had a thought for a possible blink effect that may be neat.

When a fade blink's from A to B, there is the dark 'poof' effect on both points.

But what about a second effect that appears in the line between point A and B?

I am imagining a shimmer effect, like you see when gas is in a room or the air is distorted.

Any thoughts? Not sure if its worth doing or not.

I'm on the edge for this effect, depending on its execution it could make the Fade even more predictable.

but the fade doesn't necessarily blink from point A to point B, the fade might actually blink into a different dimension, and then back into our dimension, so its not a straight line.
