you don't think it would be fun to shoot at two differently colored skulks in a pack?
I think it would be fun loading only one set of skulk texture maps.
only 2 of the 8 textures were modified. the rest were untouched, i'm sure it wouldn't cause that big of a performance hit, if that's what your concern was.
a lot of people against the idea of a red eyes skulk i see.
thats a good idea, but if i'm gonna go that route, might as well make them like h.r. giger's aliens.

Yeah, that would be cool. It would also be a VERY simple effect to pull off.
10 min homeslice, 10 min. Just a reshaded skulk, love how everyone gets worked up over it.
A select few will do that, don't ruin it for everyone else.

I like that because it's more, realistic?
If you got Alpha you got black armour. 'Beta'/normal get nothing else, I think you just have to accept that.
You don't want to lose the feel of NS or make it look tacky. Even the skin i did is a little loud for NS but the reason for the brightness is that it is much easier to see the MAC's in the minimap when the top of the skin is a bright color that stands out from the map. The pirate idea cracked me up so I'l probably give that a shot after i finish my marine HUD mod for this patch
I already have custom model plans that do exactly this.
