Connection Issues

Hey, I've been trying to connect to every single server on the list after every build has been released and i can not connect to them due to the "Cannot establish a connection with the server". I've forwarded my ports, i've verified game files on steam. I can start a LAN game absolutely fine, but finding bugs and reporting them without playing against anyone else over a connection is rather difficult. :(

Thanks!

Anyone got any idea? Would preferably like to play the beta to report any bugs.
    Cheers

There was an issue that if your first connected a server and quit you couldnt connect anymore unless you booted the game (lan applies as connected).

Bump, i'm still getting this issue. I'd like to play the beta, considering my only impressions of the game have been from the first stages of Alpha where everything was broken.

@TrC no matter what server i start from launch it still comes up with the same error.

    Thanks

are you behind a firewall or NAT?

There was someone else with the same problem a few days ago. Turned out to be a router problem.

    That was me -

Replacing the router resolved the issue:

Forwarded ports and turned off firewall whilst connecting.

@Adama Hmm that's strange. I have that exact same router so i'll try replacing it. Thanks for the thread :)

Contact Netgear about it. Perhaps they can solve the problem with a firmware update.

Please note though in my case I already had the latest firmware and even restored the original firmware version - none had an effect on my particular router. Still worthwhile though.
