<div class="IPBDescription">Signage</div>Problem: Knowing where you are going, where commander is telling you to go mic, or listening to squad

Solution: Adding Signage to maps to give you information of location.
-Distinct looking areas of maps will help this as well

-Putting up that tell you where your going.. example.. crude example :P

    I like this idea. Now when the commander says: "Go to west", new players have no clue where this is supposed to be. commanders have a nice topdown view and minimap, while players have no idea where north is currently

    This and player minimaps would be nice for the next build :P

    The problem is - I think - that it's hard to create signs that doesn't jump out too much. It's little distracting when every corner has a sign post to 1-3 different locations. And in the other hand if they fit perfectly to the environment it's a little nice touch but players won't notice them. NS1 style map for the players would be a better solution imho.

    These are all planed. Just not a priority right now.

    Basically, anything that comes to mind that people think could improve a maps navigation, we've already thought of it but not implemented yet. ;)

    I bet you guys never planned for breadcrumbs left by other marines to follow... Wait I'm wrong, you're doing something like that on the Kharaa side aren't you with pheromones dropped by the commander...

    maybe a compass on the hud, i can't see what i am shooting anyways so another addition to the hud would give me something more to look at through the fade blink/marine death animation.

    Maybe they could have a transparent path to follow in your field of vision, a bit like in other games when its overlaid on top of the minimap.
