what build will be the offishall beta

just like to know what will be the build number for when the offishall beta will come out so every one that bought the game can play?

i think the beta release was 157? not sure. but as it has been said, the beta is out, preorder and activate on steam, and have fun!

I think he mean open beta, not just those limited 10k copies of ns2 that preorder closed beta access.

And I think that its unlikely they will go into open beta before they got all those copies sold, aswell as they will want to make the game as smooth as possible, maybe even balance it a little.

Answering a build number is hard, but if I were to guess, maybe 9001, or something more likely, such as 666 or 300 (all awesome numbers)?
I actually believe that it might happen at 200, judging by how fast they work, maybe more.

That will be a release candidate, but you need to pre-order to play it. As far as we know there are no plans on free beta access.

Open beta just means that anyone can opt in, no matter how many already done so.

Until those 10000 slots are filled, the beta is functionally the same as an open beta. After that, it's closed beta.

I thought an open beta was one where you simply didn't have to be selected for? Whether you have to buy a game or not to get in doesn't define if it's open or not.
