Mic not working

Hi,

Just wondering is anyone else having problems with microphone not working?

I get the grey icon come up on the left.
My mic works in teamspeak and on other games.
But no one can hear me, tried different keys, settings etc.

It's a logitech headset.

If anyone can help , cheers.

USB headset? Or does it plug into the headphone/speaker port and the mic port?
NS2 may only be looking at your primary mic port on your primary sound card for mic input.

A USB headset would count as a separate device.

Had it plugged into my G15 keyboard
Then tried it in the usb port on back of pc
But probably not the sound card direct input..

Will try another port now directly in sound card!

I think this issue need to be fixed to work with any way of plugging a mic into the pc.

isn't the steam library stuff handling the microphone stuff? just wondering. or fmod? at least i doubt its the code from UWE

99% of the time someone has a problem with their headset it turns out it's a USB headset. Don't buy an USB headset, if you have the choice!
