Turret & Hydra temp lag fix suggestion

Hey Flaya/Max/Cory :) can you guys please add a hard limit on these units 3-5 as a way to stop the servers lagging like crazy till they are optimized?

It's not the best solution but i imagine it should be very fast to do and make the game much more playable for everyone till you guys get around to the optimization for them!

    Not going to screw up gameplay for optimization.

    There is no gameplay when everyone lags like crazy..

    This is just a slight temporary compromise till the optimization is done.

    Changing gameplay code specifically to help optimization is a bad idea in the long run. Making these kinds of temporary changes will only complicate things later on.

    Players can adjust their tactics on their own if they want to reduce lag... notice most coms opt to put down armories instead of sentries.

    Just make it a server variable. Different hardware can handle different numbers of hydras/sentries. Let the server owners decide how many their servers can handle.

    I would rather they optimize.
    It is still higher on the list than chopping limits.

    You know the limits ...
    so don't stuff too many turrets/hydra on a map.

    Chopping one thing that acerbates the problem isn't going to make it go away.
    Let the limits come in the Balancing phase.

    Should take like 15min to implement an upper limit... Which they can remove once the performance gets fixed.
