The new MMO is not going to be starcraft. Titan is the new mmofps.

Personallz Ive never heard about starcraft phoenix but I doubt its going to be a new game, if it was it must be release in 2018.

I've always been under the impression that the new MMO was going to be <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2009/05/13/first-official-confirmation-that-new-blizzard-mmo-is-original-ip/" target="_blank">a new franchise</a>, and StarCraft is not a new franchise.

Blizzard hasn't launched a new franchise since 1998. I bet it's a Lost Vikings MMO. Or maybe their basing it off of AutoAssault and making rock 'n roll racing MMO.

Maybe they meant their "newest" franchise. Which <i>is</i> Starcraft, Hmm....

Afaik not. There are stats involved but the last Ive seen it was a real fps.

Since we're throwing random idea's at eachother here: A phoenix usually represents rebirth. Since this project seems to be set in the starcraft universe, could this be a revival of starcraft ghost?

SC: Ghost was the sole reason I bought a GameCube... then they cancelled it :|

As someone already mentioned, Titan is the internal code-name for the MMO. SC2 Phoenix I think is an expansion pack or something... and the console jobs were listed under Diablo III on their job posting site.

I think this is the most likely scenario for SC2 Phoenix. It's probably the protoss expansion pack.

Next MMO is project Titan. It is sci-fi based, not in SC universe and will be an RPG/FPS hybrid with heavy emphasis on squad combat. There's no bluff to call on this.. what I'm saying is that everyone knows about Titan and I'm surprised to see anyone mistaking SC2Phoenix for Titan especially when both Titan and Phoenix are on the same leaked blizzard timetable.

Nope, SC2 Phoenix is down for simultaneous release with SC2 X1 ( zerg expansion ) with SC2 X2 coming a year later ( the protoss expansion ).

Now, I'll acknowledge the possibility that this is an entirely NEW IP if YOU will acknowledge that this possibility is not all that probable, considering this is Blizzard we're talking about. Their newest IP is Starcraft. That sort of sets the tone. Blizzard iterates. It's what they DO.

Don't they have super strict NDAs on that? When my friend was working at Blizz (internship) he wasn't allowed to see anything related to Titan because they were too afraid of leaks.
