It's a modification, developed over the course of 3 years, for Company of Heroes. finally Soviet Russia is coming to town. It is compatible with all other Company of Heroes versions and you can indeed use all armies ingame alongside the Russians.
They have a completely new and unique tech-tree and all of their official WW2 vehicles alongside some "US licensed" vehicles, just like the real thing. Their main fighting power is to overwhelm the enemies defense with sheer manpower. They also have artillery and Stalinorgels (of course, IRL they even had artillery divisions). It is not as accurate as the other armies, but it compensates with amount of shells in a general direction. Sector artillery is also awesome and dangerous, it just shoots random shells into a sector. Meaning it could also hit your forces
And they even have "cannon fodder" infantry which can attract suppression fire while your elite units flank the enemy.
These Conscripts only cost manpower, but do not count towards the maximum unit limit. Making it possible to have an unlimited supply of these guys. The Conscripts also lack supplies ->

One man has a rifle, one man has ammo

When the man with the rifle dies, the man with the ammo picks up the rifle and shoots

They can't shoot accurate though and easily suppressed, but their sheer numbers are awesome

There's an Ferdinand or Elefant in here as well!

Anyways here's the link, the video section is pretty cool to get an impression of this...

Hot damn man, that goes against human nature. Preservation of your own life is basically baked into our brains. Sad story though :/
Preservation of our own genetic material is baked into our brains. People sacrifice for their children all the time. If our instincts were to save ourselves and not our offspring, we would be naturally selected out of the gene pool because our kids would die and we would live but not pass on our genes. Fast forward a bunch of time and the vast majority of us instinctively protect our kids over ourselves.
She, actually. They released her name on some other site. Which is probably going to lead to death threats from disgruntled gamers. Which will be taken as even more evidence of how violent gamers are. And really, how the ###### do you argue against that?
And yeah, it's a pretty nice mod.
