<div class="IPBDescription">Will there be Status Effects...</div>..For example Stunned, Slow, Poisoned and Bleeding some specials weapons or attacks can cause those effects like Focus Attack skill can cause Bleeding as well for short period unless healed or a special bullets can have same effect, Web can make people Slow or Stuck, those status effects can improve strategical gameplay and team work.

    Also same for positive effects like Regeneration and Increased Defence

    Well some structures kinda do that.

    Defence chambers (at least in NS1) project an aura which heals people in it over time, so basically a regen aura. Similarly lerk spores cause health degeneration if you stand in the cloud, and umbra grants massively increased bullet resistance.

    So the aliens used to get quite a few area effect status effect type things, don't know what will be in NS2 though.

    Don't think of the game like an RPG though. Granted, it might be easier in some ways to codify the names in a similar way if enough things cause similar effects, but in NS1 everything was fairly unique.

    The problem with status effects (at least for the marine team) was the "Kill" console command.

    then wouldn't you disable the kill command if it was possible to do that? I'm sure you can't KILL when being digested?
