Is there anyway to locate the changes? 520mb is qutie a load - would love to see what is fixed, and possibly try to break it again.

Edit: Good effort btw. That's the first beer on my tap if I ever get to Fransico

Edit 2: Oh shiat, front page blog. Never mind.

Nice, I just got the download update on Steam.

    Going to dive in!

*Also, wow, so many fixes, you guys are machines.

I received my first "couldn't connect" and "server full" messages, this is a success.

Received a "reason unknown" message after failure to connect to a server.

Overall the connection/authentication process is much improved, and I'm appreciating these error messages.

It correctly fails to connect to unpatched servers from what I see.

And is there an updated server.exe for those server operators that don't want to run steam?

Just downloaded it and going to try it out soon.
Thanks for the quick patch :)

Perhaps you should start giving these patches version numbers (and display that in red in the top left part of the screen) so we know what version we're talking about. This will become very important down the road when we have patches every week (and especially useful for server admins to make sure they are updated).

Edit: nm, I see you call it build 150. It should still say so on the screen.

Connects like a charm! Lags like hell in game though :o

Most pleasing i reckon is how they are obviously listening to us even if they aren't replying
Things corrected in this patch are very common complaints in the forums.
Not all are fixed yet but obviously they are watching
A dev team that caters to the community
Nice work UW keep it up, big happy customer right here :D

Oh god... How I wish I had bought the Special Edition, now...
    ENVY³.

Anyways... That's a lot of changes for few days of alpha testing! Which is, of course, great! Awesome job! Also I feel the beta will come a bit sooner than I expect, if this speed is maintained! HAHA

Very nice work guys, great to see the fixes rolling along.

Will be updating our dedicated server now to test it out, thanks.

Well at least now I can go from "Attempting connection..." to "Connection failed" instead of having to quit out of the game and reboot. I'll just wait for the servers to update and finally get to see what all the fuss it about. :)

Good job! I'm looking foreward to the fixes regarding making the game feel less laggy and more playable. Before reading this patchnote I was just thinking to myself that I wish they put a lot of focus on making the game run "smooth", since that is one of the most important parts for me.

    P.S.

Putting in antialiasing / multisampling would be nice too! ;)

  • Mr. EpicMr. Epic Join Date: 2003-08-01 Member: 18660Members, Constellation
yeah, there appears to be a problem. I presently cannot make a local game or join one online, it always gives an authentication error.

Same here... other than that: WOW! So many fixes :) Good work!

Also keep in mind many of the servers aren't running patched yet. Many players have yet to come online yet either.

Connecting to patched games is a breeze for me.
