How long will the alpha test be?

The reason I'm asking is because I have class tonight and I don't get off until 10 PM CST, which the alpha will start I'm assuming 7 PM. I'd love to play it if it's during a certain window period of time or if it's released and playable until beta, final build or whatever build is next then awesome!

I've heard it could be up to 3 months...

(you do realise that you need to buy the special edition version of NS2 to get access to alpha right?)

We have no idea. However long it takes to get to the beta stage.
