Fixed that for you ;).
Though I hope its true as well!
if your plan is to not leave your PC, then you're doing it wrong with the beans.
Yeah, I copy that. Raw meat and mountain dew. That's real gamer fuel :D

Indeed it is the special edition timer, but, the alpha IS supposed to be released the 26th, which is actually, in my time, in about 2 hours and 30 minutes, sooooo???? I confused myself....
^^ This.
The game should be released on the 26th. The timer on the site is simply a closer of Special Edition sales and not the launch of the Alpha "time", [however I could be wrong]....?
yeah I guess u got a point there, what ever they will do nobody will be happy, anyway hope it is released early my time so I can enjoy it instead of enjoying the F5 button :D
The 26th of July San Fransisco time dude :p
"The first NS2 alpha build is "done"! This is the first version of many versions to come. We hope you enjoy it on Steam in ~24 hours!."
So unless i am READING that easy to understand twitter update wrong, they intened to release it in 24 hours from the time they posted that but now the counter on the site says 21 hours, so it can go either way i believe. I think they should clarify better through twitter on the release of the game to seperate it from the timer for the special edition counter.
The problem is with everyone who wants to upgrade to "Special edition" they have to manually upgrade every person and upload that new database of CD keys to steam BEFORE they can release so everyone who paid for the alpha can get it.
but if they are doing all of that manually then i don't blame them.
Wohoo! Now I just have to try to figure out how to make the day go faster... Guess it's time for cleaning!
The twitter said ~24 hours. The actual release time will be, of course, up to valve.
Use your noggin guys.
