So the alpha is in 1.5 weeks give or take. When do you think NS2 1.0 will be released? Considering the fade, onos, dynamic infestation, and god knows how many other things still aren't finished.

cmon people, all you had to do was watch the trailer to get your answer!
but seriously, im fairly optimistic that the game will be released either this year or early next year. they have a working engine now which i would imagine is the biggest speed bump in game development. a bit of bug crunching and game balancing seems to be all thats left from the programming side... assuming they still need to animate some of the stuff we havnt seen (DI and fade for example) thats all done by a seperate team that works offsite... so realistically the final game dosnt seem to be to far away.
Realistically, probably end of winter/spring, so March/April area.
Like the devs have said, the game is generally feature complete. (Even though the onos/fade aren't in right away, modelling is done, etc) They just need to implement all the gamecode in for them and the respectable other components. I'd expect the Alpha to run until end of November, which gives them 4 months or up to 16 major patches to get through the Alpha. Beta starts, bug squashing for a few months and balance tweaks, and we have NS2 in spring-ish of 11.

I'd guess that as well.
Hopefully no trashing.

thats all speculation of course
As for 1.0, February 14 is my wild guess.
