Question On Sizes

<div class="IPBDescription">Corridor / Hallway Sizes</div> Since there are vents that marines can't get into or need a jetpack to get in, would it be wrong, to say, limit some hall hieghts so that an onos wouldn't be able to fit without ducking? Not all, but maybe 1 or 2 in a map (not main ones into any area, just side ones mind you). I was thinking of this, because onos are taller than marines, and perhaps the marines who constructed a certain base/station/etc might not have made all halls so wide and/or tall, so that maybe only as tall as a marine.

I understand, custom map makers pretty much have the final say on wtf they want to create, but how do YOU feel about something like this idea? Also,s omething liek this shouldn't be done as overkill, such as vents shouldn't. But, different sizes and stuff, especially small hallways where the marine takes up the bulk of the room, could add some different atmospheres (ie, 2 marines not being able to go down a hallway a breast, having to file down the hall, 1 by 1, perhaps awaiting slaughter) which could also add to gameplay.

Just a small question, feel free to gimme your entire point of view on this, as this would not only help me but other mappers who may have questioned this, but thrown the idea out the window.

Go right ahead, but be sure to do this only once or twice in you map, and never in long corridors. This could act as a kind of "Onos break," slowing down the charge for a moment, but should never be important or major hallways. I can see people getting irritated if they just spent 70 resource points on an Onos, only to get gunned down because they were crawling through a just-too-small hallway that is necessary to go through to reach the marines. Remeber, a crawling Onos is a sitting duck.

*edit* I realize that you said most of this in your post anyway, I, um, was just reminding you.
