Seems like a neat idea. Don't know if it's something UWE wants to use, but still quite the interesting concept. Maybe once UWE establishes themselves as devs they could get in on this. I really like it watching the indies helping other indies.

    I'm skeptical... I know I'm gonna sound like some kind of conspiracy crazy. But I read through the 'about' section and the only real difference I found between them and the usual publisher/studio system was that there are no 'pre-set milestones' for the games production. Other than that, its still an umbrella company putting funds into a smaller studio in hopes of capitalizing on their product.

    Although the fact that the financial obligation of the small studio has a definite expiration is definitely a positive point. We will see though, I hope my initial inclinations are proven wrong :D
