<div class="IPBDescription">seccexy</div>Looks amazing.
Opacity, size and position adjustment options on the various displays and panels?
Also, is this the first we've seen of the obs?

Yeah, it looks heavily placeholder, but makes sense as the screen shot is labeled as in-development.
I also noticed that the Shotgun was not mentioned. Hopefully you guys can cram extra hard to bring it to Alpha release state.
I also hope Dynamic Infestation is also part of the Alpha.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I hope we can rebind keys into a GridKey setup.
Search for my threads in I&S(one of em is called Starcraft; Binding; Configs).
(Not complaining- think it looks fab)

Looks like a hotgroup set to the "1" key.
Maybe the armoury?

The screen is a little small to be 100%, but I feel confident in saying "yes" they are using Eurostile.

I'm pretty certain that is an icon for the command station. I'm guessing the number shows how many active comm stations are online or something.
The minimap is still in development, one of the most raw elements in the game at the moment. We haven't yet added the "pings" or "blips".
You can actually find the font in the core\fonts folder. It's called <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microgramma_(typeface)" target="_blank">"Microgramma"</a>. According to Wikipedia, Eurostile was actually based off this one. I, personally, can't tell the difference ;).
Ah yeah, good find. I am on my Mac so I couldn't search for that. It seems that Microgramma is almost identical to Eurostile (same designer) just it doesn't have lowercase. Either way, great font when used correctly...just don't pair it with Helvetica or Arial ala StarCraft 2...biggest mistake blizz made in that game's graphic design.
Is it possible to have more than 5 hotgroups (1-9 for example) even if they aren't visible on the hotgroup bar? At least I could've used more than 5 groups in NS here and there. In NS1 you've got minimum of 3 groups used for buildings for the most of the round and I usually have one extra slot used for IP. That leaves very little room for improvisation. For example I can have maximum of 2 slots for maintaining a siege situation with PGs, extra obs and TF involved. With the AI units to control, 5 groups seems pretty low to me. In WC3 and Starcraft I use up to 7 or 8 groups, I think.
That's of course assuming that you can't for example handle upgrades through some other means than hotkeying every upgrade building.

Is there a reason that is limited to just 5? If I have a structure in a hotgroup by itself, will selecting that hotgroup allow us to bring up the build/ability menu for that structure?
One of the things that I think that Battlezone / Battlezone 2 really did great, was that your primary structures are always selectable. It would speed things up if I knew I could hit 1 to always select an observatory and more quickly do a ping sweep or a recall, or something along those lines.
i dont have realized that theres 2 marines, and turrets out the marine start until zoom that image.
Theres no command chair in NS2. Let´s call it "Commanders box"
=)
I get mad at console ports that always stop at 8 hotkeys for some reason.
