NS2 sound bug on steam.

After activating my ns2 key on steam it seems to of gotten rid of the problem i had when i opened up the menu mid game and could see a black outline of the menu when i closed it and fired my rifle. Now i get an even more irratitng bug that when i fire my rifle, the sound of the rifle firing just loops constantly and i cnat get it to stop.
Could anyone help with this issue and if not, then it's just a bit of feedback about something that might need fixing with future updates.
My system specs are as follows for my laptop.
Intel core 2 duo T6400 2.0ghz.
Nvidia Geforce 9600M GS TurboCache 512mb graphics card.
3GB DDR3 ram (not sure if it is 800mhz or 1066mhz).
250GB HDD.
Windows vista home premium 32 bit edition.
Any help would be greatly apreciated if not, like i said just a little error report.
