I had the same issue. You need the NEWER Runtime dll's w/ the version "v8.0.50727.4053". Microsoft updated revved the runtime version of the Visual Studio 2005 SP1 CRT dll's w/ an additional post SP1 security patch for VS2k5.
If the visual studio 2005 used to build Decoda ended up getting the patch (sometimes downloaded automatically via regular windows updates) then newer versions of the CRT dll's need to be redistributed w/ the product. I believe the following is a link to download to the runtime dll's you need. Download the vcredist_x86.exe package.

First timer here.
I just downloaded and installed Decoda to d:/apps/LuaDecoda
When I double-click the Decoda.exe I get:
"This application has failed too start because the application configuration is incorrect"
I have re-downloaded and installed again but get the same error
FYI I have these files in the main folder:
dbghelp.dll
Dedoca.chm
Decoder.exe
LuaInject.dll
uninstall.exe
Update.dll
Am I missing something?
Do I need Net framework for example?
System: EeePC901, WinXP SP3
Thanks,
Jim
