Power Struggle

Why can't they all get along?
I play aliens most of the time. Aliens are always short on people so it seems like the natural choice. But, when a game starts and your Kharaa, rush the base as soon as you can. The power struggle that goes on for commander is amazing. During one of my experiences as commander a few members decided to destroy the command center because they wanted to be commander. This leaves the aliens plenty of time to storm the base and take the Frontiersmen out for an early victory dinner. One thing that seperates the aliens from the marines in this game is that there is not a single person who has all the power, every alien is a vital part of the team and needs to perform their job in order for them to win. We need to take advantage of that until the marine players get their act together and stop their power struggleing which is choaking many teams for at least the first ten minutes of every game. Has anyone else seen this, what are your thoughts?

Actually I've never seen a problem with more then one guy wanting to be commander. Its always no one wants to command for me

Have you seen a struggle to be a gorge? We all rushed the first time, then a minute after the entire team turned into gorges!

Yeah, I have noticed that also, People want to be Gorge, don't see any fun in that personally (don't flame me on this). But they have evened out a lot during the game as resources become more, people begin to switch to fade or lerk. But the power struggle thing has been brought up to my attention a couple of times and I think it is a vaulable asset to the Kharaa.

If there is a power struggle over who wants to be commander, the marines have already lost. I hate to play marines, but when I do there's nothing more aggrivating than two morons arguing about who should be commander. Marines have no time to lose at any point in the game. Aliens are faster and more mobile than marines in general, and any time wasted on stupid stuff is time you really can't make up. Once the aliens get that second hive, your team better get it together. Okay, what I'm trying to say is that marines need to work together always. Even if you're an uber commander, let the other guy command if it will save time and get people working. He'll probably get sick of commanding anyway, then you'll have your chance.

*sigh* I hate it when I ramble.
