What I Think Happens With Marine Bug

<div class="IPBDescription">Just a little insight</div> The bug with marine resources was not fixed. They still have a nearly infinite amount and end up with a huge surplus at the end of each game. I commanded several times and had a fully upgraded team with 250+ RPs at the end of the game which we won, because everyone had HA and HMGs.

What I think happens?

Well Flay said that with ONE RP node, the marines should not be able to afford nice things.

My insight here is.. when a marine (or alien for that matter) RP node is destroyed, they are still getting the RPs from that nozzle, even though the RP node is not there. So if marines take half the map, and aliens push them back to their spawn, then they are still getting all those RPs. Which would explain why they can continually pump out HA and HMGs and turrets everywhere, and hold off continued assaults by three hive aliens, while they have 1 node.

Why do I think this? As marine commander on Eclipse (almost garunteed marine win) we had gotten 6 RP nodes. We were pushed back to the spawn, and we lost 4, then the other two were eventually found and destroyed. I was getting the same amount of RPs per click as I was with 6 RP nodes. The lag was ~150 and the server was relatively stable.

The game went nowhere from there. I just kept spamming turrets and HA and HMGs everywhere and next time I needed to build more there were plenty of RPs to do so. I left about an hour into this as it was boring me to death. Had 312 RPs when I left, from one node and constant toy delivery to marines.

And while it's a lot harder to notice on aliens.. I think it would be the same for them. Aliens usually carry around a large surplus of RPs they never use. 33/33 until they get second hive. After that, Fades will need to re-evolve when they die and RPS are being used. Builders of course have an upped rate of gain for RPs so it's not applicable to base how many we were getting from them.

If anyone's seen similar results please confirm them here. I want to play a good game for once, not just turrets turrets turrets.

    When i command and i lose Nodes i get less RPs.

    AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA. Just, AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA. Marines are easy to owange on Eclipse if you got the right team, and its a wonderful battle for sure if you got 2 good teams. Ive seen 50/50, i mean how many times have you played eclipse since the patch came out? Can't be alot then if you still thinks marines get a garunteed victory on a map.

    When I command and lose a resource tower (I'm lucky to hold 3, 4 is amazing), I can definitly feel it when I lose one. I have found that 3 RT's are enough for equipping marines, 4 and I can buy every upgrade at super speed. On the other hand, I feel broke as aliens unless we have 6+ RT's. I think it's just because aliens spend much more resources than marines do.
