I'm looking for a good sound card that has at least a midi-in so I can record with my keyboard/piano. I heard that midi to usb doesn't work that well for working with keyboards. Any suggestions? I do my gaming through my headphones, so that bypasses the sound card...so this sound card would be dedicated to recording music.

If it's the first, you'll probably want an expensive X-Fi; if it's the latter, USB/USB or USB/Midi controllers have next to no input lag even on crappy on-board soundcards, most of which also fare fine with ultimately resource-cheap sound processing (just don't forget ASIO drivers for input).
Speaking from experience on the latter: got a midi keyboard, Fruity Loops and a USB keyboard, all's in good order.
Does your keyboard has a sample bank or is it just a midi controller? Either way you won't need a midi-in to record your stuff, you'll need it if you want to process midi signals to affect some internal software elements.
