Ping issues

I get over 100 ping on NS servers, but lets say for Counter Strike I have 40/30 even less

Both the CS and NS servers I play on are all in Europe.... so it's not like I'm connecting to a server for NS at the Moon

Weird.... I've never done a ping comparison between games being hosted at the same location before.

Deffo baffling me... I have recently updated my anti-virus(firewall etc) but surely it should do the same to both games, if it was that whats doing it?

Downloading files are not effected either

I have AVG, Spybot and Malware running in the background

It's not an NS problem, as CS and NS both use the same netcode (or at least I am fairly sure). I would suggest nabbing the IP addresses and doing a tracert, after all Europe is a kinda big place (I tend to ping the same to British servers as West coast servers as I am in NYC). Probably just a location thing.
