Half Life vs Counter Strike

I did some reading and searching of your forums and I could not see where this was brought up. I couldn't really think of a better place to put it then in the ideas area.

I own Counter Strike and CS Condition Zero but NOT Half Life. Is there a reason you MUST have Half Life installed? I though this was a CS mod? Is there a way to make the installation avail to people like me who only have Counter Strike?

    I'm sure someone else will elaborate better on this, but NS is a HL mod NOT a CS mod. Besides the original CS and NS both being HL mods, neither one has anything to do with the other.

    half life is worth buying. Also, as a bonus you can play Natural Selection!

    i agree with this i really got pissed after 1.4 they went to steam and they bought off the devs and started selling it....same with TFC, DoD, and few others HL1 Mods...
