Many other people are the same.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
1 out of 9 men and 1 out of 20 women have some form of color blindness/deficiency. That means that about 1 out of 10 of you reading this post has this problem. You may say "I can see colors just fine," but color deficiencies can be hardly noticeable.

And if anyone is wondering, it will appear like any other bright light source would be in night vision... i.e. green.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
apart from night/thermal scopes, its the only way

id vote for red because im used to green being infrared

If I were colour blind (I AM) i'd be fretting much more over the colours that will determine whether I see an actual player or not, not whether I can see the pretty lasers.

I agree that we should be able to choose... at least between red and green...
I used to play a mod for Half Life (The Specialists), and you could choose the color of your laser sights (red, green or blue) in that mod. And other players would see the color you chose. So why wouldn't it be possible in NS2?

And also, we must have the option to turn on/off the laser sight, because at the same time it is something really cool to have a laser sight it will give your position to the enemy.

Generally players are less of a problem, they move and colourblindness has little effect on that, also they have patterns which colourblindness often makes you better at seeing.

However something like a laser dot which doesn't move on screen, or any sort of small HUD element or static environment object which uses colour to differentiate itself from the rest of the environment, those are a problem.

So laser sights, buttons, and stationary enemies, those are the main points of contention, you can fix it by making them brighter or darker, or by putting noticable patterns on them.

Laser sights are pointless anyway since we already have crosshairs.

I guess that laser sights show you where your teammates are looking (assuming that their lasers render on your screen).
