the question is will portal ever be able to shake the Still Alive jingle that has stigmatized onto the face of the brand or will they be forever forced to make cameos of a song Ive heard way too many times. :s

I'm forever a pessimist - I hope Portal translates well to a full-length game... it seemed perfectly suited to the test lab environment of the first game, and it seemed just the right length for what it was. I hope they can keep the game fresh and interesting enough for a full $50 worth of game. From some of the leaked writing samples though, the new game's writing does look just as funny as the first game's...

that said, it definitely would not have been OK if they just released another set of levels in another lab and called it Portal 2, so I think they're doing the right thing.
