Editor+Viewer Rendering Issues with Launch Pad

I launched the Editor from the Spark Launch Pad just now, which is something I don't normally do as I have a shortcut to the EXE in my start menu. It loaded with the Black Renderer Of Death bug where the background is black and you can't see props or filled in geometry. I sort of panicked and thought about it and decided to start the editor from my shortcut in the start menu. It worked perfectly.
I hadn't been using the Viewer at all but awhile back I decided to give it a try but there were a great deal of rendering artifacts and glitches that made it unusable. I had been running it from the Spark Launch Pad as well, but after finding the bug with the editor I decided to try its EXE directly as well and the Viewer worked as expected.
So...
The Spark Launch Pad is doing something wrong when executing the EXEs.
I noticed that when I tried to add the EXE to the Editor initially, I got this issue with it, but creating a shortcut first and then adding the shortcut to the start menu fixed everything. So, add shortcuts to the Spark applications in the Launch Pad or fix something with the application/source paths.
Note: I've tried with a "Game" selected in the drop down menu and without any Games at all.
Specs:
Windows XP SP3 32-bit
AMD Phenom II X4 940 (3.01 GHz)
3.00G of RAM (4.00G physical)
ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series

They started showing up after the newest Spark Editor update. And for some reason some of my custom textures have strange artifacts on them that weren't there before either. And I can't get rid of them no matter what I try.

So this happens when you run Spark from the Launch Pad only right? Otherwise, I think its a different issue.
