You're just lucky your government lets you read the internet. When I'm President, say goodbye to that little luxury. You'll be too busy running your fatass on a treadmill.

So there are no carcinogens or tar in cannabis smoke? Interesting. I didn't know inhaling burning vegetation could be completely harmless.

Its not. Most (but not all) of the harmful effects of pot are identical to those of tobacco because, newsflash, inhaling burning stuff is not good for you!

    Vapor on the other hand...

I feel you guys are underestimating the addictve properties off cannabis and the effect it can have on a person's life. Note that I'm really glad to be living in a country where it's legalized.

Considering the ending results. Alcohol side affects are often way worse than that from Marijuana. You can get Alcohol poisoning, faster than anyone could ever overdose on pot. Can't drive. Can hardly talk. Some people are mad drunks. But how many mad potheads have you ever met? None. And if you don't know... then go get one.
My personal opinion is why shouldn't they legalize it?

Utter nonesense, alcohol is a fine wholesome passtime which is at the very heart of good, healthy socialising. Going for a drink with friends is a cornerstone of our society and no god damn pothead hippie communist is going to take it away from us with their brain-killing liberal-herb. Which is nothing like tobacco while we're on the subject which is every man's god given right and all this stupid liberal media rubbish about how it's bad for you is unamerican.

    I was being silly.

In honesty I don't really see a problem with 'light' drugs like pot, ones with really nasty effects I'm less happy to support for basically the same reason I wouldn't support giving arsenic out at candy stores, that being the risk/reward ratio is a bit off. But stuff people can use for fun and enjoy using and which are relatively easy to use responsibly, I wouldn't oppose.

Although stoners themselves annoy the hell out of me, I know a few people who do pot now and again and it's amazingly annoying when they talk to you while stoned or you try to ask them something and they complain about being stoned. It's more annoying than alcohol in that respect because usually when people get drunk they're with a bunch of other people who are also drunk so I don't have to put up with them.

But if I opposed everything that annoyed me I'd run out of breath from all the yelling, so pot itself I don't object to.

    ^^^^^

Schedule one drugs have no medical benefit / value. Tell that to my friend who just died at the age of 18 with a fast metastasizing cancer that was everywhere except his bone marrow. When he smoked he could keep food down, and not be nauseous. When he went to DC to advocate he couldn't partake and ate twice (and managed to keep it down) in a whole week...

The only reason marijuana is illegal now is b/c the stamp act was unconstitutional so they fixed it with controlled substances act of 60's and the 70's and that provides the modern legal framework to keep it illegal. This is after the vilification of marijuana in the 20's and 30's (reefer madness, effing mexicans use it) to the 40-50's gateway drug extrapolation...

Cops like going after Marijuana because unless your a hardcore career criminal who is only in it for money chances are you are stoned and don't run / shoot back. They hate busting meth houses cause those effers are paranoid and ready to shoot N' scoot.

Weed totally hasn't grossed more per year for the last 7 years than the top 4 legal crops in California combined, and prohibition is totally a viable workable strategy.

Vapor on the other hand correct, but actually there exists studies that show long term Marijuana smokers have DO NOT have identical problems to cigs. Cigs are sprayed with all sorts of gnarlyness before they are sold, the tobacco is treated, the little rings in the cig that make them burn straight are more chemicals, there is mad steroids, etc, etc etc. Marijuana kills the cilia outright, whilst tobacco keeps them alive so they mutate
