The Unofficial Lassie Megahread Q1 2010

Well...
I've noticed a lot of talk about Lassie on the forums recently so I though it would be a good idea to create a thread to centralize all the discussion and keep it from spilling over into other, unrelated threads.
From wikipedia:
Lassie is a fictional collie dog character and a stage name for several dog actors. The fictional character was created by Eric Knight in a short story expanded to novel length called Lassie Come-Home. Published in 1940, the novel was filmed by MGM in 1943 as Lassie Come Home with a talented dog named Pal playing Lassie. Pal then appeared with the stage name "Lassie" in six other MGM feature films through 1951. Pal's owner and trainer Rudd Weatherwax then acquired the Lassie name and trademark from MGM and appeared with Pal (as "Lassie") at rodeos, fairs, and similar events across America in the early 1950s. In 1954, the long running, Emmy winning television series Lassie debuted, and, over the next 19 years, a succession of Pal's descendants appeared on the series. The "Lassie" character has appeared in radio, television, film, toys, comic books, animated series, juvenile novels, and other media. Pal's descendants continue to play Lassie today.
Honestly, I can't say I consumed a great deal of Lassie media in my time. It was pretty much in that time period of TV and film I rarely watch on whatever stations are showing them. I don't even know where to find them these days. But I'm sure most people are at least somewhat familiar with Lassie.

Chimps, on the other hand, are horrible horrible things. You seen the videos of them attacking another pack? It's crazy as hell. It's like a nightmare. They travel quietly through the forrest until they see a lookout for the pack they're attacking and then all hell breaks loose and they run around screaming and beating the other chimps to death, even chasing them up a tree just so they can throw them out.
Chimps are horrible, horrible creatures.
Both oral and and written communication are going to be forbidden. Only hand gestures are going to be allowed.
Anyone ever had any experience with such an oath and how to best threaten people with gestures?
Obviously 4chan provides the utmost highest quality of 401K bank statements ever to be given to the unobtanium providing highpowered superconducting materials to create a spacefaring race of semi-intelligent non-verbal rodents that band together for social concerns. After all, good and evil are merely social constructs of our alien overlords. Whereas I've had issues getting past the title and loading screen of Star Trek Online and my GPU appears to be maxed out while I black screen and swapping the RAM sticks don't seem to help.
At it's core though we should look for better ways to generate music playlists based on our current mood using

and multiple gunshots were heard around 2am last night.
PS. I still don't understand what the word troll means.
Everyone in this thread, including me now...
This is getting weirder by the minute...
There's evidence that the Mongol invasions occurred when the stronger nomadic heartland steppe tribes pushed out the weak tribes resulting in the destruction of Mesopotamian culture and the sacking of Rome. Yurts truly saw some fascinating times riding on the back of the greatest horse archers the world will ever see.
The greatest it has ever seen, yes, but it's premature to think that in the future, American presidential elections won't be decided by horse archery contests, which would perhaps occasion even greater feats of horse archery.
Hey look you don't tell me what to do.
Wouldn't riding on the back of a horse archer be painful for the archer?
What breed of horse do you suppose would be best at archery? I've never seen one use a bow before, but perhaps it would be useful to start working on a suitable candidate...
I would think a porn star would be willing to accommodate - reasonable or otherwise...
