editor wont start

<div class="IPBDescription">trouble with the editor</div>having trouble with the editor

after the install i try and run it and get an immediate crash with the error

"this application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem"

reinstalling of course does not fix the error.

my system

p4 3.2ghz single core
2 gig ram
agp ati 3850 512 meg running dx9
windows xp prof

I have no options to change settings and looking at the editor config file doesn't shed any light on my problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Try running it again, the patch we released (which should be auto-downloaded) may help.

max - does the editor connect using IE settings for any proxy config?
If not, can this feature be added? (IE: people behind work proxies).
