idk if this has been discussed or not but oh well
if you've played AVP:2 you know what im talking about, but whenever you run on the walls I think the perspective should stay parallel with the wall instead of always seeing things rightside up. it adds another dimension for skulks to utilize without worrying about falling from the ceiling or jumping off a wall whenever they need to get around something.

Try this. The feature you're talking about is called view rotation. They tried it for NS1 but didn't like it. They were going to try it for NS2, but not put it in if they couldn't get it to work well.

that didnt work either. Oh well. Good try though, much better than regular searching.

anyway it has been suggested numerous times, sometimes even twice a week.
Developers are aware some players want this.

They're also aware that other players don't want it. It can be highly disorienting. If it gets implemented, expect it to be a toggle.

I'd like it to be implemented if they got time, for a toggle, but not all the time.

there are ways they can do this that wont be too disorienting. For example in portal they set a maximum speed at which the viewing angle corrects itself, so you never feel jostled into a new orientation. This kind of implementation would also serve to buffer the player from surfaces which change the viewing plane erratically. Think of it as a low pass filter for viewing angle rotations :P

It would still be disorienting to people such as me because there is no sensation of up and down to accompany the spinning view. Once they can get vidja games to directly manipulate my inner ear I will have no further objections.

Look here (Manga, may contain partial nudity).
I'd like to build that, but my electrotechnical resources are rather limited.
