How about real world details?
We all know that system requirements means one thing. If you would like to look at the game, with greatly hindered game play due to super choppy frame rates, tearing, crashing, etc. etc. etc. and not experience the play at all, then follow the them closely.

I would rather get an estimate on how this game compares to others. For instance, if I can run source engine maxed out grabbing over 140fps then how will this compare to NS2?

Would the devs be willing to post up some screenies showing their source statistics vs NS2 statistics? The reason I choose source is simple, it is beautiful and it is diverse. The engine was built with the masses in mind and therefore a large range of hardware can run it at and achieve very high frame rates while losing minimal as far as visual quality goes.

it looks to be in the same ballpark as source, in terms of scalability. I would think that unless you have a 4 year old computer, there will be a configuration that will run well and let you enjoy the gameplay.

There's an old news post that includes benchmarks that should give a decent idea of how the engine performs: http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/news/2008..._video_followup
