Ns Not in games list

I installed ns too SourceMods and it has not appeared in my games list after restarting steam have i got the wrong folder? or is there anything elce i need to do?

Edit: I just realised i need HL1 lol but shouldn't it still have appeared in my games list?

    No, it shouldn't appear in your game list because the ns folder resides in your half-life folder. The half-life folder isn't even recognized unless you have installed and ran HL1, at least once. (Which means, install, start hl1, exit hl1)
