Alternate name for alien "commander"?

The "commander" word is distinctly human. There needs to be an analogous term for the aliens.
Suggestions?

Oh, and here is the obligatory suggestion and preemptive rejection of "Overlord" - for those that can't resist being smart alecs :)

Yea. I didn't like the name "Alien Commander" for the Aliens leader.
The word "commander" is more suitable for something more techonlogicaly evolved, and that's not the case of Aliens.
I like Hivemind.

I like overlord the best, but its to much of ripoff of starcraft. Something like 'hivemind' would be fitting for NS (since hivesight was already established in NS).

Hivemind makes it seem singular which isn't a good thing if there are going to be multiple commanders.

"We need to consume this hivemind" (alien version of ejecting, except the alien loses his life as the hive eats and digests him lol)

If the player is a higher lifeform, he gets his res back but has to re-evolve in an egg when respawned.

*Overmind doesn't sound like Starcraft... it IS Starcraft. That's the Leader of the Zerg in the original Starcraft (before the BW Expansion).
*Hivemind. I also initially thought of Hivemind but (as someone else said) it sounds too singular for a game where multiple players can command.
*Mother: Will lend itself to exercise ingame cursing.


I'd like a name that suggests the player is linking up to the hivemind. But something better than just Hivelink, Hiveseer, or Hivemerger.

I like "Queen" for the name. It fits due to our knowledge of animals, fits with the movie aliens, etc.. It just makes sense.
