Server Optimizations In 1.1

I just would like to know what will be optimized. Is it possible to fix the map effecting cpu usage? or making hera and those laggy maps use as much resource as Nancy or Eclispe. Ns_nancy is low in cpu usage, while Ns_hera is lagging my system when i try to surf the internet, and when i join the server i get 5 to 99 fps.


I think its using tooooooo much cpu. power.................., UT2k3 doesn't lag as much, i don't know if it is as complex but its got stuff to do like physics and colision detection

    since there is no locational damage, the cpu processing shouldn't be that high.

    it's got tons of entities AND commander mode, fog of war, etc. ** I should watch my language **

    UT2003 is a whole new ball of wax, physics are run (mostly) clientside... the server itself is linux native (and windows native) and takes FULL advantage of SMP (Symetric Multi-Processing, basically DUAL PROCS) so, to compare this with HLDS is no contest since HLDS will only run on one processor, even if you have an SMP build of the *nix kernel.

    1.1 as im told will have the following:
    HLTV (Currently buggy)
    VAC (VALVe Anti-Cheat) (Last minute bugs held it from the 1.0 release)

    As for other specifics I could'nt say, but those are the significant ones to come in the newer versions. Again, its at Flays discretion.
