seems pretty neat. The OP is just as minimalistic as the site's interface though. I have no clue what half the buttons are supposed to do. <3 means you like the song? then what are the :D and :`( faces for? whether the song is happy or sad? it definitely does seem as smart as Pandora though, with the bonus of being able to choose songs... pretty soon the radio and buying music will be a thing of the past...
complaints: it doesn't remember your "station" - you have to re-design it by adding songs to your queue every time you sign on. also, can't tell it what artists you like, only what songs you like, which is tedious if a certain artist has hundreds of songs you like...
Also, this can be used without haxing your internetz pathways if you live outside of the US.
Feedback coming later.
edit number one: Does it add songs on its own? I can't figure out how. Something I love about Pandora is that you could just type a random song or artist name, and leave the page. Here, it seems you have to add the songs yourself, which is quite a big minus :( edit number two: Never mind the previous edit, you're supposed to use the Auto Play button (cogwheel). So this is actually a plus, as you can choose between playlists (yours or other users'), or pandora-style randomness.
edit number three:
I'm not convinced this is as efficient as Pandora. I've been suggested maybe 4 different artists after my initial query, all of which I've already known. Pandora, on the other hand, keeps giving me new stuff. On the plus side, you really can choose what you're listening to here, there's no limit to the number of tracks you can skip, you can drag-and-drop all your favorites, re-listen to the tracks you want to listen twice, etc. Another plus is that you can upload music, which expands their database. I haven't tried it yet, though, but I guess it's a way to have your music shared if you're an artist. According to Wikipedia, they also have less royalty agreements, which means that you can eventually find yourself listening to illegally-uploaded music (omfg.) and that there's the occasional copyright infringement lawsuit by EMI.

I happen to know exactly how the selection works, what thumbing up and down really do, and how the seed system operates. =]
I've suggested a couple of shiny features that they claim are in the works but haven't shown up yet (as in I told them a year ago to let us seed characteristics or sets of characteristics, which would be kinda awesome to find genres of music and artists you haven't really gotten to).
I've really fallen in love with Grooveshark, but it doesn't really feel legal. Isn't it pretty much a carbon copy of the original Napster, with a web interface? I can't believe the RIAA hasn't shut it down yet. Users upload their music libraries and other people can listen to them. I guess the only real difference is that you can't download the songs to your hard drive, but if you can play them on demand from the web, does that matter? if you have a web-enabled mobile device, it's like having an iPod that can play any song in the world for free on demand.

Deezer is French based, because there is a loophole in the French law they can't shut it down, until the loophole has been closed.
Wow, I love Grooveshark! Never hard of it before this, but it's officially replaced pandora for me :) Thanks
