Can't set default NS crosshairs

<div class="IPBDescription">Unable to change crosshairs from typical FPS style '+' to NS d</div>I recently bought a laptop to use alongside my PC (for portability to work and whatever), copied across the steam folder as I usually do when I want another instance of it, and started playing NS. All other steam and HL1 games work fine with no complaints, NS however is weird in that the crosshairs are the generic 'crosses' seen in games like CS and so on (unanimated though) even though my desktop PC has the NS crosshairs on by default.

Brief Laptop specs if req:
AMD Turion X2 2.2ghz
3gb DDR2
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 (512 mb dedicated)
Vista Ultimate (32-bit)
1280x800 (16:10)
Generic audio device

Also if its important I had to use the "cl_gammaramp 0" to fix the black comm HUD and green text issues. Any suggestions welcome!

A review of the change log has this:

· The crosshair choices are available in the advanced multiplayer options.
· Can also be selected with cl_customcrosshair 0|1|2|3|4.
· Type one and two include spread indicators, while type three and four stay the same for all weapons.
· Type zero selects the crosshairs from 3.1.

So you already played with the advanced multiplayer options?
Maybe check what value of cl_customcrosshair in console and try different value.

Thanks a lot TinCan, that definitely fixed it (cl_customcrosshair was set to 4).
