Instead of adding a vote at a timed point during gameplay, where it may be distracting, why not hold the map rating vote until the end. Simply have it at round end, then immediately followed by the map vote.
Or, like Wally world does here in the states when your stuf is being rung up at the register, put up a map vote, and then once you've chosen from the first list, pop up a rating while waiting on everyone else. Then the final mapvote between the highest voted maps finishes it off.
PS, good to play with some of you guys last night!
That NS plugin ruined my gaming experience. Now every time I get stuck in any other game, my immediate thought is to say /stuck and all my problems will go away. Unfortunately, it only leads to being ridiculed while still unable to move. Aww well <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
I would hope that they would have some sort of built-in "fix" for stuff like that, but /stuck would be a good backup to include, to be sure!

I was going to do it right when you had died.. so you would be sitting in the respawn queue with nothing to do anyway.
Hopefully /stuck won't be necessary in NS2. I remember in NS1 it was never added to the game because they were trying to fix all the stuck issues through other methods.

Would you try and do it so that it only happens when you die?
What about the commander? He shouldn't be dieing that much.
I still like the idea of veign able to recall the proposed vote so you can change your vote. Or possibly just have a popup that says "a Vote to do XYZ has been called, prex X or say /vote to vote"

In case anyone is interested, the current source code I have is available at <a href="http://ns2admin.codeplex.com" target="_blank">http://ns2admin.codeplex.com</a> . If anyone actually wants to help with this, shoot me a PM.
Map rating is kind of nice, particularly on servers with lots of custom maps. If that kind of vote came up while dead, perfect.
Can I suggest using f-keys or 6,7,8,9,0 for voting? Or at least making those keys optional?
I like the basic stuff though. With LUA it should be easy to expand it later, I imagine. I'm a fan of running things lean and mean, installing just the stuff I want.
