'archived' files
<div class="IPBDescription">Causing lots of trouble</div>Ok, I'm getting angry, because its very very late and I can't sleep and my hard drive is playing games with me.
I cannot compile new versions of my map with the same name, because the map files are set on 'archive' mode (in properties, at bottom, a checkbox). I can manually un-archive mode it, but then when I make a new file it sets it to archive mode.
Does anyone know of a way I can stop this? It's getting on my tired nerves.

PS - I think archive files are writable manually but programs (like compilers or worms, which may want to overwrite/delete them) cannot do anything to them -- they cause a lot of trouble for patches and installers.

I have a problem compiling maps as well. When I give a map a title of more than 8 characters, the compiler tools try looking for ns_blah~1.map or something, like its still using the old DOS short file names. I have Windows ME, which as far as I know doesn't run off of DOS anymore. Does anyone know how I can change it to use long file names?
