Seriously, guys, clanners v pubbers still? The NS forums was infested with the strange division between the two, some "Lord of the Flies"-like idea that there are only two dichotomous ways of playing the game.

It would be <b>way</b> more useful if everyone would cease using NS as a frame of reference, and instead focus on more modern games with client-side modding. I mean, bunnyhopping was a bug from a 15 year old engine (which, yes, was very fun to exploit). It's kind of hard to imagine physics exploits in modern games, isn't it?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Speaking of modern games with client-side modding.. I will sell you my Left4Dead dual pistol script real cheap...

Games should reward you for actual valuable skills! Like being able to balance your checkbook, or bake a cake, or accurately file your tax returns!

Oh please, a reward for baking a cake? Everybody knows that as long as you do your cooking by the book, it's a piece of cake to bake a pretty cake!

ONTOPIC: I agree with the whole "no gameplay elements" thing in script. I would have problems that are for movement/attacking/anything in NS1 that needed the wait command/etc., but stuff like chat binds like "I have X ammo left in X weapon", or "I currently have X health and I am at X location" are fine with me :-)

    Those need to be banned.

    Horribly

In fact, any one that tries to use them needs to have horrible things happen to them.

I'm thinking not having scripting as a form of damage control. As in the above example, it's the difference between one or two players being able to cause it, and it breaking the game(if it becomes mainstream).
